Nursing Home Abuse

As more and more elderly and disabled enter nursing home every year many are
subject to nursing home abuse and neglect. Sadly, it is estimated that
over 35,000 residents die prematurely due to such abuse and neglect. To
make matters even worse we are all, through our tax dollars funneled through
medicare and medicaid, paying for care that is not being properly provided to
our elderly and often helpless citizens.
Fortunately, many nursing homes are being held accountable for abusing and
neglecting their patients. It is important to recognize the signs of abuse
and neglect. These may include bedsores that remain untreated, open
wounds, cuts, bruises, dehydration, malnutrition, burns, falls, medication
errors, and over sedation. If you feel a family member or friend has been
the victim of nursing home abuse or neglect, please give us a call.
At Boren Oliver & Coffey, we will work with you to protect your rights and seek
compensation for your losses from those responsible. Feel free to call or
schedule an appointment. There is never a charge for consultation, there
is no fee unless there is a recovery.
